Job Description
Lead Ambassadors support the Executive in Residence (EiR) program in three primary roles: 1) Administrator, 2) Event Coordinator, 3) Program Coordinator. Together, these leadership roles support the Executive in Residence (EiR) program by coordinating events, leading the ambassadorship program, and creating meaningful connections between students and executives. The position offers hands-on experience in event planning, delegation, and leadership development while encouraging creativity through special projects and community engagement.
Administrator
  • Facilitate communication between ambassadors, executives, and staff to ensure timely updates.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to evaluate event effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with tracking the program budget and submitting expenses to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls, providing support to Residential Academic Initiatives.

Event Coordinator
  • Plan and schedule EiR events in collaboration with program staff.
  • Coordinate logistics, including room reservations, tech needs, and other materials.
  • Serve as the primary contact for executives during their campus visits.
  • Submit work orders for room setups.

Program Coordinator
  • Design and execute special projects to enhance the EiR program, such as themed events or networking opportunities.
  • Promote EiR initiatives through social media and campus outreach.
  • Guide and delegate tasks to ambassadors to ensure successful events.
  • Develop and manage schedules for ambassador participation.

Position Responsibilities
Hours worked may be in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The Lead Ambassador position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, strong communicators, creative, and driven.
Prerequisite(s)
Overall pre-requisites and requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one semester college coursework completed.
  • Must have previously lived or currently live in University Residences
  • Must have attended an Executive in Residence program/event

Expectations:
Lead Ambassadors will prioritize student engagement, provide excellent service, and ensure a welcoming environment for all EiR participants. They will coordinate events, stimulate teamwork, and communicate effectively to create a positive experience for students and alumni. Lead Ambassadors will promote safety, professionalism, and leadership development while supporting the success of the EiR program and encouraging lifelong learning and engagement.
