Job Summary:

Provides anesthesia care in the operating room in support of surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the general supervision of an anesthesiologist. Provides preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up. Functions as a patient advocate and confidant, advisor and liaison between patients, families, and physicians.

About Geisinger Lewistown Hospital:

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA which includes Geisinger Lewistown Endoscopy is a community Hospital located in Mifflin County. Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is a 123-bed facility with 6 Operating Rooms, 3 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms and 1 Obstetrics Suite. Hospital includes recently remodeled Endoscopy Center, Hybrid OR Room, and up-to-date Anesthesia Equipment. We employ full time CRNA's and Anesthesiologists. Shifts will alternate between 24s and 12s based on schedule need . Regional surgical services are expanding with the additions of Mako Robotic Surgical Arm and da Vinci Surgical System. No hearts. This facility sees approximately 700 births per year, over 4,500 surgeries per year and over 4,200 endoscopy procedures per year.

About Grays Woods/State College:

Geisinger Grays Woods, State College, PA is an Outpatient Surgery / Endoscopy facility that opened in 2014 with state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery clinic. A variety of cases performed across 4 Operating Rooms and 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms: over 3,000 surgeries and 5,000 endoscopy cases per year. Expanding surgical services to incorporate outpatient total joint cases.
