If you've got the right ingredients, come join us as a Pastry Chef and help bring unique, tasty, high-quality food to guests at all of our food and dining outlets, as well as our banquets and other special events.
What you get to do:
The Pastry Chef will support the daily culinary operations with specialized and standard desserts and bread selections for park operations and special events. This role will work with the Executive Sous Chef to plan and coordinate menus for special events and banquets. The Pastry Chef will also:

  • Maintain existing recipes and standards
  • Coach, teach and develop bakery team members
  • Responsible for facility sanitation, cleanliness and monitoring facility equipment
  • Develop and implement new ideas as needed
  • Responsible for daily operation of central baking kitchen & Flamingo Kitchen
  • Prepare desserts for caterings and special events
  • Requisition food and supplies through approved systems
  • Direct kitchen team members engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food
  • Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies
  • Assist other location and areas as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef
  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume hotel, theme park, or military education environment
  • Able to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in organizational planning
  • Able to stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to meet availability requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs

Compensation: 23.50 USD Hourly
