Position Overview:

As the Executive Housekeeping Manager, you’ll lead the housekeeping team to ensure every guest experience a pristine, welcoming, and relaxing stay. You’ll oversee the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while managing operations, staff development, and quality control.

  • Guest Experience & Cleanliness Standards:

    • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Westin’s high cleanliness standards.

    • Physically inspect rooms before guest check-ins, ensuring they are spotless and guest-ready.

    • Oversee the cleaning, laundering, and chemical usage protocols to guarantee safe and effective operations.

  • Leadership & Team Development:

    • Hire, train, and develop a skilled housekeeping team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.

    • Conduct regular performance reviews, recognizing outstanding work and addressing areas for improvement.

    • Promote teamwork and collaboration by clearly communicating expectations and leading by example.

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control for linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment.

    • Oversee the Lost and Found system, ensuring items are properly logged and stored.

    • Maintain and track housekeeping schedules to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction.

  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Ensure all safety procedures and cleanliness protocols are strictly followed.

    • Build team awareness of safety guidelines and enforce compliance.

    • Monitor and address any potential safety hazards promptly.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with the Front Office Manager and other department leaders to deliver a seamless guest experience.

    • Provide daily discrepancy reports and coordinate with the General Manager on quality standards.

    • Respond to guest requests promptly, going the extra mile to exceed expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping management experience preferred (hotel experience strongly preferred).

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a team.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.

  • Effective communication skills with a guest-first attitude.

  • Must pass a successful background check.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from ground to above head level.

  • Comfortable with continuous movement throughout the shift.
