Position Summary

Natera is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative Director of Brand & Creative to lead the evolution of our corporate and product brands as we continue to grow globally.

This leader will be responsible for defining and stewarding Natera's visual identity and creative standards while ensuring consistency across every audience, channel, and business unit. They will lead the development of scalable brand systems, oversee creative execution across digital and print, and build the processes, partnerships, and capabilities needed to support a rapidly expanding organization.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional creative judgment with strong operational leadership. They know how to elevate a brand while managing high-volume creative production, balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution. Experience leading both internal creative teams and external agencies is essential.

This role will report to the SVP, Marketing & Patient Experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Leadership

      Own the evolution and governance of Natera's corporate and product brand identities.

      Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that enable consistent execution across all customer touchpoints.

      Ensure a cohesive visual identity across healthcare providers, patients, biopharma partners, investors, prospective employees, and other stakeholders.

      Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business strategy into compelling brand experiences.

      Evaluate opportunities to evolve the brand while preserving consistency and recognition.

Creative Strategy & Execution

      Lead creative development across marketing campaigns, product launches, digital experiences, sales materials, events, advertising, social media, presentations, video, and other communications.

      Provide creative direction that raises the quality and effectiveness of all branded materials.

      Balance long-term brand initiatives with fast-paced business needs across multiple commercial and corporate functions.

      Ensure creative work is aligned with marketing objectives, customer insights, and business priorities.

Creative Operations

      Build scalable creative processes that improve quality, efficiency, and speed.

      Establish workflows, templates, asset management practices, and production standards that support growth.

      Prioritize creative resources across multiple business units and stakeholders.

      Develop metrics and reporting to measure creative performance, efficiency, and business impact.

Team Leadership

      Lead and mentor internal designers and creative professionals.

      Manage external creative agencies, freelancers, production partners, photographers, illustrators, and other vendors.

      Determine the optimal mix of internal capabilities and agency support based on business priorities.

      Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Partnership

      Partner closely with Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, Demand Generation, Medical Affairs, Commercial, HR, Investor Relations, and Executive Leadership.

      Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and Compliance teams to ensure materials meet applicable review requirements while maintaining creative excellence.

      Serve as the organization's brand steward, helping teams make decisions that strengthen consistency across all communications.

QualificationsRequired

      Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field.

      10+ years of progressive experience in brand management, creative leadership, or creative direction.

      Experience leading creative teams in a high-growth organization.

      Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across digital, print, brand identity, and integrated marketing campaigns.

      Experience developing and managing enterprise brand guidelines and visual identity systems.

      Experience managing creative agencies and external production partners.

      Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

      Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred

      Healthcare, biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience.

      Experience supporting multiple brands, product portfolios, or business units.

      Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.

      Familiarity with digital asset management systems and creative workflow tools.

      Experience collaborating with digital product, UX/UI, and web development teams.

      Knowledge of AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies that improve creative workflows.
