Aprio's Senior Manager, Organizational Development (OD) advances the firm's leadership capabilities and team effectiveness through strategic organizational development and executive development strategies, including facilitation, innovative development programs, and targeted coaching. This pivotal role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams across the firm, shaping Aprio's future by fostering high-performing, resilient teams and a strong executive workforce aligned with the firm's vision. The Senior Manager partners closely with business leaders, the L&D team, and People + Culture Business Partners to design and implement integrated OD and executive development solutions that optimize performance and support enterprise change initiatives, including M&A activity.
This team member will join Aprio as an individual contributor who must be flexible, highly collaborative, and demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness. Addressing organizational and leadership challenges requires strategic thinking, conflict management expertise, and a high degree of discernment. The Senior Manager must be an exceptional facilitator and coach, with advanced knowledge of leadership and executive development, organizational change, team dynamics, and behavioral assessment tools. Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences are essential. The Senior Manager must build trust quickly and navigate Aprio's growth culture with its dynamic partnership model.
The Senior Manager, Organizational Development reports directly to the Director, Talent Development. Occasional travel is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted consultant and business partner to business leaders and HR Business Partners, designing OD approaches and an executive development strategy to optimize organizational performance.
  • Help teams and leaders create clear plans for how they work together, including vision, mission, strategic priorities, and operating norms.
  • Design and lead innovative workshops to enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and behavioral style understanding.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to mediate and manage team and interpersonal conflicts, fostering constructive dialogue and resolution.
  • Oversee Aprio's talent assessment portfolio, partnering with vendors and talent leads to deploy measures that assess and develop high potentials' and executives' leadership capabilities. Debrief senior leader assessments and interpret results to inform tailored development plans.
  • Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis and change planning in support of organizational change initiatives, including frequent M&A activity.
  • Craft actionable individual and team development plans that address strengths, growth areas, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide targeted coaching to leaders and firm partners, supporting their ongoing professional growth and performance.
  • Conduct leader assimilation meetings to accelerate new leader integration and team alignment.
  • Build detailed executive development program management plans that align with overarching program objectives and participant needs, ensuring a cohesive and impactful learning journey.
  • Monitor executive development trends to integrate cutting-edge advancements and maintain program relevance and effectiveness.
  • Oversee a suite of blended development opportunities that drive business impact for Aprio's executive workforce.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program budgets, track expenses and forecast resource needs.
  • Use available data and analytics to inform OD and executive development strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee selection and management of external vendors for training content development and delivery, making informed buy vs. build decisions.

Qualifications:
  • 8 years plus of experience in progressive experience consulting with leaders and teams, ideally within professional services environments is required
  • Experience applying adult learning theories to develop, design, and deploy training, preferably with executive level programs is required
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to collaborate on a fast-paced team and execute multiple projects simultaneously is required
  • Proven success leading organizational change initiatives is required
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership development, strategic facilitation, and coaching is required
  • Advanced knowledge of assessment tools and methodologies for leader evaluation and development with the ability to facilitate assessment debriefs is required
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences is required
  • Strong coaching acumen, with a proven track record of supporting leader and team growth is required
  • Outstanding conflict management and mediation abilities is required
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans is required
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or a related field is required
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or a related field is preferred
  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or similar credential from International
    Coaching Federation is preferred
