The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Campus Chef to our Collegiate Dining team in Decatur. As a Campus chef, you will have the opportunity to supervise and participate in the preparation of meals for students, faculty & guests.ย 

What you'll be doing:
  • Planning, organizing, and supervising culinary operations of retail and catering services.ย 
  • Planning menus based on various factors, such as market trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.ย 
  • Conferring with district managers or other departments regarding daily aspects of dining service.ย 
  • Directing and coordinating the work of kitchen staff.ย 
  • Other tasks as assigned. ย  ย 
What we're looking for:

Must-haves:ย 

  • Certification by a recognized culinary institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.ย 
  • At least three years' experience in culinary management.ย 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.ย 

Nice-to-haves:ย 

  • Previous experience in college or school dining servicesย 
  • Previous experience in food service contract servicesย 
  • At least one years' experience in a similar role.ย
