Responsibilities 

The Central Branch YMCA in downtown Fort Wayne is seeking an energetic and responsible part-time Manager on Duty to join our team by maintaining the smooth operation of the branch as the supervisor in the absence of the Executive Director and other members of the management team.

  • Connect: Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with members.
  • Inspire: Requires a proactive and personable approach with leadership skills that inspire a welcoming and mission-centered atmosphere.  
  • Lead: Monitor programs and activities, respond to member needs, help with tours, and ensure the safety of the members and security of the facility. 

Requirements 

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.  
  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills. 
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Proficient in computer usage and possess the ability to grow with computer technology.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.  

Salary: Part-time $14.00-$14.50 hourly

Hours Available:  

  • Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm 
  • Sunday 11:45am-5:15pm
