the Microsoft Strategic Account Executive (MSAE) is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing Microsoft solutions and services opportunities within an assigned territory or account set. The MSAE is expected to maintain proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, our services offerings and Microsoft programs. The MSAE drives the Connection/Microsoft co-sell motion within their assigned territory or set of accounts. The MSAE is accountable for growing Microsoft product and services revenue, through expansion within the existing customer base and helping drive new customer acquisition. The role serves as a resource to the Sales organizations for strategy around Microsoft advanced technology, services opportunity development and continued customer relationship development at the Director level and above. The MSAE works daily to prospect, identify key business transformation opportunities, to expand consumption of Microsoft services across their customer base in order to exceed services, sales, and profitability quarterly goals and quotas. The MSAE contributes to pipeline development, supports renewal and expansion efforts, and collaborates with Sales, Microsoft, and internal teams to help drive customer adoption and long-term value.

  • Functions as the resource within territory to assist Sales in new customer acquisition efforts in order to meet or exceed assigned services, revenue, and profitability goals. Accountable for the expansion of Microsoft services sales within territories or set account.
  • Owns the complete sales cycle of Microsoft advanced solutions and services opportunities within assigned accounts or territories: identification, forecasting, pursuit and execution
  • Leads customer discovery and solution conversations focused on business outcomes and digital transformation
  • Owns the co-sell motions between Sales, Microsoft teams, and internal stakeholder
  • Develops and maintains Director and VP level relationships within customer base
  • Provides territory and account intelligence to Sales leadership and supports joint account planning and growth strategy
  • Maintains accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM reporting
  • Supports renewal planning and strategy alongside MSS and sales, driving upsell and services attach.
  • Maintains proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, licensing, and programs through ongoing enablement and training
