Summary
CHS, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to support our Executive Vice President, Energy. This role will manage administrative tasks, facilitate communication, and coordinate events and meetings.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience demonstrating problem solving in dynamic environments, and the ability to demonstrate sound judgement while remaining calm and effective in high-stress situations.
This position is onsite at our Inver Grove Heights, MN global corporate office.
Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative details for the Executive Vice President of Energy and support various functions for additional senior leaders reporting to the EVP.
  • Facilitate smooth and professional communication between the EVP and internal departments, external relationships, customers, and member owners.
  • Partner with the corporate communications liaison to coordinate and distribute correspondence, such as employee announcements and company policies, and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with and assist the marketing & communication team on meeting and event preparation, set up, and follow up including preparing presentations, agendas, materials, documenting notes and coordinating follow-up items to completion.
  • Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations, extracting data from Excel and Word for various stakeholders including Board of Directors, senior leadership, management and external partners.
  • Support internal and external meeting participation and travel logistics. Organize and help manage the logistics for corporate and business unit operations as well as additional offsite space/meeting planning coordination and logistics.
  • Execute responsibilities using platforms such as OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Forms, Yammer, Concur, Coupa, Adobe Sign, TimeManager, Intelex, and Office 365.
  • Provide proactive thinking and value-added work as a member of the CHS energy team.
  • Responsible for efficiently managing complex calendars, resolving scheduling conflicts, coordinating travel arrangements and itineraries, and processing expense reports to optimize workloads and ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support by assisting with employee floor positioning and moves, ordering and maintaining office supplies, approving access requests for distribution lists/folders, and managing the distribution of sporting event tickets.

Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • 7+ years of executive administration support experience
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience interacting with Board members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to handle multiple time sensitive projects and prioritize heavy workload to complete projects on time.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional, interpersonal and communication skills with high degree of integrity and confidentiality, ability to interact with all levels in the organization, customers and business partners.
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and ownership of projects and see through to completion with limited or no supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid proofreading and editing skills.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and expectations on a situational basis and be prepared to handle urgent business matters as needed.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and external partners.
