Job Description:
This position acts as our Executive Assistant to the Commission and the Director. This position performs administrative duties for the Deputy Director for Education and general education related assignments as requested. This position is also responsible for mailing renewal notices and preparing certificates for professional corporations and limited liability companies among various other duties.
Processes of the Executive Assistant to the Commission and Director may include: arrangements for Commission Meeting sites and Commissioner travel needs for meetings, preparing exhibits and mailings, updating manuals, and performing clerical duties as necessary. Processes of Education Assistant may include: mail notifications, prepare letters and reports according to deadlines established by the Director. To prepare accurate approval/rejection letters after Commission Meetings. Assists with other office tasks as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency OR experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including the use of personal computers and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years' experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent telephone skills are essential. Experience in a legal setting or regulatory knowledge of legal terminology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: administrative office clerical support procedures.
Skilled in: effective oral and written communication skills; using Microsoft applications; use of computer.
Ability to: organize workload; work in a fast-paced team environment; be detailed-oriented; manage multiple projects and provide excellent customer service.
