About the Role

Security Benefit (SB) is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and the HR Leadership Team. This role serves as a trusted partner by managing executive priorities, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the efficient execution of key business activities while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

The Executive Assistant position reports to the SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, and will be based out of our offices in Overland Park or Topeka, Kansas. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and ensure the CHRO and HR Leadership Team are prepared for daily priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted administrative partner by managing communications, anticipating needs, and supporting department priorities.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, catering, agendas, and presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation, presentations, reports, special projects, and office coordination.
  • Support project tracking and ensure key deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to coordinate hiring and new-hire onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries.
  • Prepare, review, and submit expense reports in compliance with corporate policies.
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payment.
  • Foster communication and collaboration across the HR organization while coordinating employee engagement activities and team events.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while adapting to changing business priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, business partners, and associates across the organization.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to strengthen executive support, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Maintain a regular onsite presence in either the Overland Park or Topeka office, with a minimum of one day per week and additional time as needed to support the CHRO, HR Leadership Team, and local associates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
