Position Overview:
CECP is seeking a motivated candidate for a part-time academic-year internship to assist CECP's Marketing team. The Marketing Intern will primarily support digital marketing efforts, including content creation, social media, email marketing, website updates, and campaign execution to help increase engagement with CECP's programs, research, benchmarking, and events. The intern will also support marketing initiatives that help raise awareness of CECP among prospective member companies, promote CECP's thought leadership and services, and contribute to membership awareness.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of digital marketing campaigns to increase awareness of CECP's research, benchmarking, events, thought leadership, and membership benefits among current and prospective companies.
  • Help develop and implement member awareness initiatives that increase engagement with CECP resources, programs, and opportunities, including support for Advanced Advisory (AA) communications and promotion.
  • Assist in expanding CECP's digital engagement with members through LinkedIn and other channels by identifying opportunities to highlight member stories, achievements, insights, and participation in CECP programs.
  • Help create and update marketing materials that communicate CECP's value proposition, including one-pagers, case studies, presentations, website content, social media assets, and email campaigns.
  • Support marketing analytics and reporting by tracking campaign performance, audience engagement, website activity, and other metrics that inform awareness and engagement efforts.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing and member engagement data within Salesforce, Pardot, ZoomInfo, or other marketing and CRM platforms.

  • Strong writing, editing, research, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating content for social media, email marketing, websites, or other digital communications channels.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot (or other email marketing tools), WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, ZoomInfo, Zoho, Monday.com, Co-Pilot, Claude, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Eagerness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve marketing strategies based on audience engagement and results.

It's a plus if you are:
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience using social media and digital communications platforms to engage audiences and build awareness.
    • Examples include LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or emerging digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated interest in content creation, storytelling, brand marketing, and audience engagement.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or a similar platform.
  • Experience creating or editing visuals, videos, or multimedia content for social media, websites, email campaigns, or other digital channels.
  • Comfortable analyzing content performance and using data and insights to evaluate campaign effectiveness and improve engagement.
  • Strong curiosity, creativity, and willingness to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to marketing initiatives.
  • Interest in exploring new technologies, trends, and best practices in digital marketing, communications, and audience engagement.

Hours and duration:
  • Part time/~15-20 hours a week
  • Flexible hours: Between 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday
  • Flexible start date: typically September/October. Needed through end of May 2027

Location:
  • This position is fully remote, but you must be a US Citizen and currently living in the United States.

Compensation:
  • A stipend of $20.00/hour is offered to interns.
