Job description

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical to revolutionize marketing measurement experimentation within the Demand Science Optimization (DSO) organization. You will build and lead Amazon's first centralized marketing experimentation program for Devices and Services, establishing a global program that measures marketing incrementality through randomized controlled trials (RCTs), validates econometric models, and optimizes marketing spend across 50+ products in 10+ countries (Ring, Blink, Alexa, Kindle, Leo, etc.).
Key job responsibilities
As Senior Product Manager - Technical, you own the experimentation program's vision, strategy, and execution end-to-end. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and economists, while serving as a key strategic partner to leadership

This role is highly visible.
Build the Experimentation Program from the Ground Up
Define the vision, tenets, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for centralized marketing experimentation
Balance short-term execution with long-term vision (establishing experimentation as a core D&S competency)
Drive Rigorous Automated Experiment Design and Execution
Partner with PL marketers across paid search, display, social, video, TV, and owned media to design statistically rigorous RCTs
Own experiment prioritization, design quality, and execution standards globally
Partner with economists to define what constitutes valid RCTs, create templates, develop power calculation guidelines, and establish quality bars
Build relationships with PL marketing leaders to demonstrate experimentation value
Build Automated Workflows and Tooling
Develop self-service tools enabling marketing teams to set up experiments, configure randomization logic, and launch tests across platforms
Create pre-flight validation preventing common design mistakes
Implement monitoring systems tracking experiment progress, detecting data quality issues, and alerting when tests reach statistical significance
Build insights reporting that summarizes results, validates model predictions, and provides optimization recommendations
Collaborate Across Workstreams
Partner with our Incrementality Modeling and Spend Optimization team to influence how experiment results calibrate incrementality models
Work with our Data Infrastructure team to ensure experiment data flows into pipelines and reporting
Translate complex statistical concepts into actionable product requirements
Drive Operational Excellence
Implement metrics tracking experiment velocity, quality, and impact
Establish regular business reviews with senior leadership to communicate progress and escalate blockers
Manage resource planning and prioritization, making trade-offs between building new capabilities and maintaining existing systems
Navigate technical complexity, organizational dependencies across four workstreams, and competing stakeholder priorities
Your product requirements are concise with clear, measurable success criteria. You negotiate effectively, make smart trade-offs without sacrificing quality, and drive appropriate schedules. You use data to influence business strategy and technical priorities, escalating when necessary without damaging relationships

You are comfortable communicating with senior executives and technical stakeholders across D&S.
