South Sound Behavioral Hospital is seeking to hire an Executive Administrative Assistant/ Medical Staff Coordinator. The Executive Administrative Assistant / Medical Staff Coordinator will provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Medical Director (CMO). The ideal candidate will be able to anticipate needs, proactively manage schedules, and ensure smooth, efficient operations, enabling the CEO and leadership team to focus on growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Administration Department by maintaining an organized environment with a courteous, professional demeanor.
  • Perform clerical tasks for the CEO & Medical Director, including facility administrative records, answering/initiating phone calls, and intercom pages in a professional manner.
  • Maintain and update physician/licensed practitioner and facility operation contract books.
  • Ensure that pertinent information is reported to the Consulting Board, Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Committees and Facility Committees.
  • Initiate verification of medical staff credentials for each new applicant and reappointment of existing medical staff members, working closely with the Medical Director.
  • Coordinate the Chief Executive Officer's daily schedule and organize meetings as assigned.
  • Attend and maintain complete minutes for various facility meetings, which may include meetings of the Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Committees, and Administrative Management meetings.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years' experience as an Administrative Assistant in a health care setting.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Must be able to type at least 65 w.p.m.; knowledge of medical terminology, and thorough knowledge of Word and Excel software programs; shorthand experience desired.

Compensation:
