Job description

Position Summary
The Executive Assistant is the CEO's force multiplier — the difference between simply keeping up and charging ahead. By absorbing the operational and administrative load that pulls the CEO into the day-to-day, you free him to focus on strategy, business development, and leadership. This is a high-trust role, and it requires construction industry experience to be effective in our environment. Wolverine is a growing regional GC with real momentum, and this role puts you at the center of that growth — directly supporting the leader steering where the company goes next.

Core Responsibilities
  • Protect & Manage the CEO's Time — Own the CEO's calendar and schedule; gatekeep access and meetings so his time goes to its highest and best use; coordinate travel and logistics.
  • Communication & Correspondence — Manage the CEO's inbox and correspondence; draft, respond, and follow up on his behalf; make the CEO look good with excellent, on-brand written and verbal communication.
  • Delegated Tasks & Follow-Through — Take delegated tasks and own them to completion; track the CEO's commitments so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Meeting Support — Prepare the CEO for meetings with agendas, materials, and context; sit in or stand in when he can't be there — capture, represent, and relay.
  • Anticipation & Initiative — Anticipate what the CEO needs before he asks; operate with an executive mindset and act as an extension of the CEO.
What We're Looking For
  • Construction industry experience is required — you understand how a commercial GC operates, the language of the field and the office, and the rhythm of project-driven work.
  • Confidentiality, trust, anticipation of needs, and an executive mindset.
  • Strong time and email management, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and technological skills (Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, scheduling tools), sound judgment, and responsiveness.
  • Executive presence and polish — comfortable and credible in front of clients, partners, and senior stakeholders; represents the CEO and the company well in any room and communicates like an executive.
What Success Looks Like
The CEO is out of the weeds and focused on running and growing the business — more responsive, more prepared, and more present than one person could be alone, able to delegate with confidence and trust it's handled.
About Us:
At Wolverine Builders, a commercial general contractor serving Arizona and New Mexico, we don't just execute plans; we partner with our clients to anticipate challenges before they hit the field. As an established regional GC, we have the scale to deliver complex industrial, medical, and hospitality projects while maintaining the lean discipline that keeps budgets intact and schedules aggressive. Our reputation is built entirely on a foundation of trust.
