Job description

Makai is an NHO 8(a) that specializes in C5ISR services, DoD systems integration, business analytics, and the modernization of wired and wireless government networks. Makai provides professional services and technical expertise in mobile/edge computing (deployable 5G), systems engineering, cybersecurity, data migration and storage, software development (DevSecOps), and process improvement. Makai is seeking a Readiness Data Analyst in support of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) contract. Your career at Makai enables the GCCS team to perform manpower assessment and reporting activities.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Provides operations and technical expertise to support functional management of the command’s Combat Capability Readiness Office (CRO) and resource readiness assessment programs utilizing dedicated tools such as Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS) and Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution System (DCAPES). Tasks the Contractor shall perform include, but are not limited to: Provide accurate, effective, and timely status of command operational readiness through management of DRRS and the reporting program for Air Combat Command (ACC) Unit Type Codes (UTCs) and provide leadership, guidance, and expertise concerning Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) directed operational readiness reporting.  * Conduct meetings to ensure accurate and timely readiness reporting requirements are met across ACC staff/Directorates, NAFs, and Wings. * Coordinate and assist with all readiness reporting activities, to include retrieving and analyzing DRRS and DCAPES UTC assessment reports from subordinate units to ensure DRRS and UTC reporting are timely, accurate, and comply with AF readiness reporting directives and instructions (AFIs 10-201 and 10-401). * Coordinate with HAF readiness office regarding AF readiness reporting policy. * Prepare readiness briefings for ACC and HAF Senior Leaders using DRRS, Oracle Business Intelligence Tool, and Excel, and any other tools determined to be best practice. * Assist in coordinating and administering ACC Unit Summary Statements (USS). Review draft DOCs, provide guidance, and conduct DOC statement reviews with relevant FAMs. * Provide technical assistance to units while troubleshooting errors within the DRRS database. Provide subject matter expert guidance applicable to all ACC units. * Provide readiness reporting, guidance and assistance to all subordinate units on complex technical issues. * Attend free Government provided training, including DCAPES, JOPES and JCRM, when available and requested by the ACC/A3O COR. EXPERIENCE:  Minimum Qualifications:    * 2 years of experience working with DRRS and UTC assessment systems and analyzing unit readiness data from DRRS   * 2 years of experience using directives governing Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) Readiness Reporting including DRRS and the Air Force readiness reporting system   * 2 years of experience using automated readiness reporting tools (e.g. DRSS/DCAPES to input unit resource status)   * 2 years of experience reviewing draft DOC statements, making recommendations, and providing detailed, in-depth guidance and assistance to ACC FAMs  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  * Associate degree  SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:   * Active DoD Security Clearance  TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:   * Up to 10%    WORKING CONDITIONS * Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). * Work assignments vary based on client requirements. * Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone. * General office equipment, which includes telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. * Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory.  * You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work * Candidates must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels.  * Candidates must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. * Grooming and dress is usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
