Job description

Job Overview
Responsible to manage interdepartmental processes such as departmental PCO, Kickoff meeting, and control CSR creation and maintenance. Responsible to prepare quotations, review/process orders, generate sales leads, respond to customer requests, and follow-up on progress of prospective sales. Provide support for Regional Sales Application Managers, Sales Representatives, and other CTS personnel.
A Day In The Life
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Quoting:
  • Coordinate the gathering of all relevant information required to formulate and submit
  • responses to customer quotation requests.
  • Work with the project team to identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers emphasizing salable product features.
  • Interface with clients to analyze market receptiveness to product and price mix.
  • Maintain quote templates to ensure consistency of quoting across the CTS department.
  • Prepare quotations and process sales orders entered primarily for Controls, and support Relays as required.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customers based on knowledge of our production and delivery schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer application and product problems.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into Company ERP system.
  • Order product demos for qualified customers on request.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Comply with all work rules including but not limited to, the Company's safety and attendance policies.

Configuration:
Manage customer specified new control cabinet configurations including gathering customer requirements and translating them into a cabinet configuration that meets their needs. This may include research into accessories and interfacing closely with design engineering.

Education and/or Experience
  • Degree inMarketing, Business, or technical, or four years' equivalent work experience with similar products/industry.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficient with previous and current versions of the Full Microsoft Office Professional Suite. Beckwith Worksheets are maintained in Microsoft Excel. Advanced Excel programming is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage projects, plan schedules and motivate groups to achieve department deliverables within time constraints.
  • The ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics, specifications, and reference materials is a plus.
  • The ability to interview and understand engineers and technicians.
