Description:

If you are a skilled CAD professional who thrives in a technically demanding environment and takes pride in producing precise, compliant engineering drawings, this role is worth a close look. Technical Systems Integration, Inc. (TSI) is seeking a Drafter/CAD Operator to support engineering drawing production at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City Beach, FL. You will work directly alongside engineers and program personnel supporting Navy research, development, and acquisition programs, producing and maintaining the technical drawing packages that keep complex systems moving from concept to fleet.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and technical data packages using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in accordance with MIL-STD-31000B, MIL-STD-100G, and ASME Y14.100, Y14.24, and Y14.35M engineering drawing standards
  • Prepare and process NAVSEA standard drawings, engineering change proposals (ECPs), engineering change records (ECRs), and technical directives (TDs)
  • Interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and design data to produce accurate and compliant technical drawings
  • Support development and maintenance of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) in accordance with MIL-STD-31000B
  • Coordinate with engineers, program personnel, and subject matter experts to ensure drawing accuracy and configuration compliance
  • Maintain technical drawing files and records in accordance with configuration management procedures
  • Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and technical reviews as required
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of professional experience in CAD-based drafting and engineering drawing production
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D and 3D) with demonstrated experience in both platforms
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD-31000B, MIL-STD-100G, and ASME Y14.100, Y14.24, and Y14.35M engineering drawing standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and design documentation
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance (active SECRET or higher preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) designation
  • AutoCAD 2D-3D certification or equivalent demonstrated proficiency
  • Experience supporting Navy or DoD engineering drawing programs at a warfare center or similar Government facility
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA drawing standards and configuration management processes
  • Familiarity with S1000D technical documentation standards and how engineering drawings integrate into IETM development
  • Experience with Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) database systems
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles and ECP/ECR processing
