Wieland is hiring a CNC Operator. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC machines and following set standards and company policies. This role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and will be fully on-site. 

Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $30/hr 

Work Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm| Monday - Friday

Pay Schedule: Weekly

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (โ€œITARโ€), and the ability to access and handle ITAR โ€œTechnical Dataโ€ as defined by 22 CFR ยง 120.15 is an essential function. Employment is contingent upon the applicant's ability to comply with these requirements. 


CNC Operator Responsibilities:

  • Basic operation of CNC equipment (load material, cycle start, unload material).
  • Stack/unload product per instructions and any other material handling as stated.
  • Must have competency to change inserts within 6 months.
  • Must have competency to make offsets within 3 months.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
  • Production quantity entered accurately in ERP system.
  • Accurately input job data per MBP MMS requirements.
  • Accurately measure part per inspection requirements, utilizing various gaging and metrology equipment.
  • Participate in any team activity as needed.
  • Be seen as a โ€œgo-toโ€ person to get work accomplished.

CNC Operator Qualifications:

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (โ€œITARโ€), and the ability to access and handle ITAR โ€œTechnical Dataโ€ as defined by 22 CFR ยง 120.15 is an essential function. Employment is contingent upon the applicant's ability to comply with these requirements. 
  • 1-4 years of experience required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Basic blueprint reading.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Proper measuring techniques with a variety of gauges.
