Job description

THE JOB / Account Executive (Client Services) (Home Improvement Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

Octagon is looking for an Account Executive to assist in the planning and execution of Atlanta Braves, Aflac Kickoff Game, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, College Football Hall of Fame, and Georgia Aquarium sponsorships and activations for a major Home Improvement client. This opportunity allows candidates to stretch their skillset across numerous Atlanta-based properties and sports.

As an Account Executive, you'll assist in managing day-to-day operations, support client communications, and help ensure flawless execution of sponsorship assets. You'll be a key contributor to program development, activation logistics, and cross-functional collaboration with your Account Manager and key players on the client team and property partners.

You will be required to work games and events as team schedules dictate throughout the year, including weekends and holidays.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Support execution of client's sponsorship portfolio, including tracking fulfillment of contractual assets
  • Support all weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, including agendas and call notes
  • Planning and execution of various on-site activities and operations (i.e. catering, security, staffing, shipping, etc.)
  • Construct activation plans, sponsorship recaps, and other property-related documents, including budget reconciliation
  • Liaison with internal Octagon teams and key client departments and client's agency partners (advertising, media, online, etc.) for related programming
  • Oversee ticket management across all properties
  • Regular, ongoing communication with day-to-day clients and program vendors

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • 1-2 year(s) agency/client service and/or sponsorship marketing experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or event logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to balance multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems effectively and independently
  • Ability and comfort level to connect with consumers, potential consumers or fans in an event setting
  • A sense of business process and how marketing, communications, and events are used to impact the bottom line and drive brand objectives
  • Ability to manage relationships with key vendors and partners (e.g. venues, properties, suppliers, etc.)
  • Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client's industry, brand and product offerings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel: Low (0-15%)

This position pays $40,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
