We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our Project Procurement team. In this role, you will help develop project estimates and bids for major utility, pipeline, and excavation projects throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing plans, solving problems, and contributing to projects that build critical infrastructure in our communities.

What You'll Do
  • Review project drawings and specifications to understand scope of work

  • Perform quantity construction takeoffs and cost estimates

  • Prepare portions of project bids and proposal estimates

  • Research and maintain current pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes

  • Maintain organized estimate documentation and cost data

  • Utilize historical project data to improve estimate accuracy

  • Support project teams with change orders and additional estimates

  • Communicate proposed construction methods with field leadership


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    or equivalent technical training/experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in estimating, construction engineering, or cost controls preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to learn construction estimating and bidding software
