Job description

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our excavation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment used in site excavation, grading, trenching, and utility installation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of excavation practices and a commitment to safety and precision. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Operate excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, skid steers, and other heavy machinery for residential and commercial projects. Excavate and backfill trenches for utilities, foundations, and drainage systems. Ensure proper depth, slope, and alignment using grade stakes, laser levels, and blueprints. Load and move soil, rock, and construction materials as needed. Perform daily safety checks and routine maintenance on equipment. Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other operators to ensure smooth workflow. Identify hazards and maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. Maintain clean and organized job sites. ________________________________________ Qualifications: 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience in excavation or site work. Knowledge of soil types and safe excavation techniques. Ability to read and interpret site plans and utility locates. Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: CDL license is a plus.
