Job description

Job Title: Oracle DBA + PostgreSQL Database Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (PST Time Zone)
Job Type: Contract (Long Term)

Job Overview
Our client's Database Infrastructure Operations team builds and supports the physical infrastructure required to deploy and maintain enterprise-grade database platforms. The team is responsible for hardware, network configurations, security, DBMS installation and configuration, application connectivity, and platform availability. The environment spans Oracle, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MemSQL, and other database systems. Cross-training and collaboration are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain database systems across production, staging, and development environments
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability configuration
  • Manage database activities including installation, upgrade, backup, recovery, and patching
  • Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard and Golden Gate replication technologies
  • Handle grid and database patching for Oracle 12c, 19c, and 23AI versions
  • Monitor and manage user access, privileges, and security configurations
  • Support infrastructure architecture decisions and database design including tables and schemas
  • Work effectively in a high-priority, fast-paced environment
Required Skills
  • Oracle DBA - RAC, Data Guard, OEM, Golden Gate, ASM, Exadata
  • Oracle versions: 12c, 19c, 23AI
  • PostgreSQL / Postgres administration
  • MySQL and SQL Server
