Position Summary: 

Bartenders at EWR are responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and executing the OTG steps of service to the highest standards. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Follow OTG steps of service, standard operating procedures. 

  • Greet guests pleasantly 

  • Walk guests through the OTG ordering and payment system 

  • Highlight menu, food and beverage options, make suggestions based on guest preferences and/or dietary restrictions/allergies 

  • Prepare drinks following OTG recipe’s and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner 

  • Follow OTG cash handling and cash register policies and procedures 

  • Maintain cleanliness within the restaurants dining and service stations 

  • Support with moving and installing kegs of beer, CO2 tanks, and soda gun 

  • Communicate with Chefs and Managers to ensure food is delivered to guests in a timely manner 

  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations 

  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required 

  • Assist team members as needed 

  • Inform MOD on guest complaints/feedback/inquiries  

  • Monitor and report intoxicated guests to MOD 

  • Inform leadership team of low inventory and equipment issues 

  • Perform additional tasks requested by the OTG leadership team 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-2 years of Bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age 

  • Familiarity w/preparing classic cocktails, knowledge of spirits  

  • Proficiency with food and beverage service, including beer, wine and cocktail pairings 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age 

  • Fluent + fully conversational in English 

  • Bartenders must obtain TIPS certification within 90 days of employment 

  • Must obtainServSafeCertification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired 

  • Able to lift 35 lbs. in weight 

  • Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch 

  • Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions--must be flexible
