Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for an EWP Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization. The EWP Material Handler supports warehouse operations by safely handling, staging, and moving materials using forklifts. This role ensures materials are accurately received, stored, picked, and delivered to support shipping, receiving, and production needs while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency., 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. (Overtime As Needed)

In this role you will focus on: 

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material. Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct location and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in order to complete required workload.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products.
  • Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure. Accurately pull daily orders.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior warehouse and material handling experience preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment safely
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
