Local CDL Yard Driver
Openings: 1
' Pay & Schedule
  • Base Pay: $22.25/hour
  • Shift Premium: $1.00/hour
  • Attendance Bonus: $1.00/hour
  • Schedule: Sunday Night - Friday Morning
  • Hours: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Must be flexible to meet business needs
" Job Responsibilities
  • Transport and deliver freight safely and professionally by operating diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations over short distances
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, Tyson policies, and safety procedures
  • Spot and pull trailers in and out of dock doors at on-site and off-site warehouses
  • Follow proper pull-light procedures
  • Ensure all trailers have a nose stand and are properly chocked
  • Monitor trailer temperatures, fuel levels, and refrigeration unit operation
  • Seal finished loads and maintain seal integrity while on Tyson property
  • Maintain safe and efficient traffic flow for outside drivers on Tyson property
  • Keep truck yards free of debris and trash
  • Complete pre-trip inspections on shag trucks and report defects immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness of shag trucks daily
  • Follow Tyson Foods warehouse, shag truck, and safety procedures at all times
  • Prioritize safety while operating yard equipment

Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
  • Minimum 12 months of driving experience
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a DOT Physical Examination
  • Must pass both:
    • Hair Follicle Drug Screen
    • DOT Urine Drug Test
Driving Requirements
  • No DWI convictions within the past 8 years
  • Must maintain CDL eligibility and comply with all DOT requirements
