THIS POSITIONS REQUIRES THE APPLICANT TO SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH.

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Specialist   

Position Status:                

Full-Time/ Hourly/ Non-Exempt

Schedule:        

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

Team Manager

Position Description 

The Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Specialist is responsible for supporting various PCA functions and adhere to specific tasks and deadlines needed in order to ensure PCA compliance with Blessings4Ever Home Care Agency’s policies. The EVV Specialist will ensure accurate weekly payroll processing for all PCA’s and oversee the HHA Exchange database system regarding PCA disciplinary actions. The EVV Specialist will be a point of contact for all PCA needs including but not limited to, performance, training, time and attendance, payroll assistance, and disciplinary actions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to correct a PCA’s over and under utilization of hours for payroll weeks; Adjustments must be completed prior to payroll being processed.
  • Responsible to run necessary EVV report(s) every Monday and Friday to identify any PCA that has over utilized 30 mins or more.
  • Responsible to conduct and document all concerned conversations with PCA’s due to unapproved utilization of time.
  • Ensures overutilization and time and attendance disciplinary documentation is distributed via mail or email to the appropriate PCA.
  • Reviews under-utilized time to identify and correct and/or adjust possible incomplete billing days or missed visits.
  • Works closely with the PCA Care Coordinators and Payroll team to correct any billing discrepancies due to improperly scheduled or over utilized units. 
  • Responsible to track authorizations end dates and follow through with all procedures required including but not limited to, calling third-party organizations to request a new authorization and notifying the Authorization Coordinator.
  • Responsible to contact the third-party organizations to correct authorizations that do not have enough units to cover the entire authorized period.
  • Ensures any incomplete billings are cleared for prior payroll weeks that have already been processed; documenting “Missed Visits” if needed.
  • Responsible to escalate and request EIM’s if needed.
  • Communicate updates to PCA’s of any changes or new methods to completing daily work task.
  • Responsible to train new PCA’s on the proper usage of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and HHA Exchange.
  •  Perform other specific tasks related to the department as assigned.

  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of homecare or healthcare experience or experience in health care or other service related industry preferred.
