OpenText is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President, Cloud Ecosystems to lead the company's global cloud partner strategy and execution. This executive will own the development and expansion of strategic relationships with major cloud providers, including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and other emerging cloud ecosystem partners.
The VP, Cloud Ecosystems will be responsible for driving partner-influenced revenue growth, accelerating cloud adoption across the OpenText portfolio, developing joint go-to-market initiatives, and creating executive-level relationships that enhance OpenText's market position. This leader will work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Corporate Development, and Executive Leadership teams to identify new opportunities, strengthen strategic alliances, and maximize business outcomes from cloud partnerships.
The ideal candidate combines deep cloud industry expertise, executive-level relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and a proven track record of scaling ecosystem-driven revenue growth within enterprise software organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Ecosystem Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute OpenText's global cloud ecosystem strategy aligned to corporate growth objectives.
Build and maintain executive relationships with key cloud providers, strategic technology partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Identify new partnership opportunities that accelerate OpenText's cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and information management business priorities.
Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic cloud alliance initiatives across the organization.
Establish long-term partnership roadmaps that drive innovation, differentiation, and market expansion.


Revenue Growth & Go-to-Market Execution
Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue growth across OpenText's cloud portfolio.
Develop and execute scalable co-sell, marketplace, and joint customer acquisition strategies with hyperscale cloud providers.
Collaborate with Sales leadership to increase pipeline generation and accelerate cloud solution adoption.
Lead joint business planning activities with strategic cloud partners and track performance against agreed-upon objectives.
Expand OpenText's presence within cloud marketplaces and ecosystem programs.
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
Negotiate and manage complex strategic partnership agreements and commercial frameworks.
Evaluate partnership investments, joint solution development opportunities, and market expansion initiatives.
Champion collaboration between OpenText product teams and cloud partners to enhance integrations, interoperability, and customer value.
Identify opportunities to leverage partner incentives, funding programs, and innovation initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to align cloud ecosystem requirements with product strategy.
Collaborate with Marketing to execute joint demand generation campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
Work alongside Corporate Development and Strategy teams to assess emerging technologies and ecosystem opportunities.
Provide executive-level updates on ecosystem performance, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities.
Team Leadership
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global ecosystem and alliance organization.
Establish operating rhythms, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, customer focus, and business impact.
Mentor and develop future ecosystem leaders across the organization.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in enterprise software, cloud computing, strategic partnerships, alliances, or business development, including 8+ years of executive leadership experience leading global partner, alliance, or ecosystem organizations.
Proven track record of building and scaling strategic relationships with hyperscalers such as Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud, while driving significant partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue growth.
Demonstrated success leading complex global negotiations, executive business planning, and cross-functional initiatives within large, matrixed organizations.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, SaaS, AI, platform technologies, cloud marketplaces, co-sell motions, partner programs, and ecosystem-led growth models.
Experience in information management, cybersecurity, digital operations, data management, enterprise applications, or related technology sectors preferred.
Experience working in public companies and global enterprise environments, with an MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
