Are you an organized and collaborative operations professional who thrives on scheduling, coordination, and keeping multiple teams moving in the right direction? Do you enjoy solving problems, supporting Commercial Superintendents, and making sure priorities, schedules, and resources stay aligned across active projects? If that sounds like you, our Commercial Operations Supervisor role could be the opportunity you've been looking for! This 12-month temporary contract role supports commercial construction operations, with a strong focus on scheduling, team coordination, and clear communication. This is a project-specific role requiring candidates to work onsite on a rotational schedule. Projects are located throughout Central Canada, with all required travel covered by the company.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

As a Commercial Operations Supervisor, you coordinate schedules, resources, and work plans across multiple projects, supporting Commercial Superintendents who oversee subcontractors and field execution. Each day, you help keep teams organized, troubleshoot issues, track progress, and ensure work is moving safely and efficiently. You work closely with leadership to strengthen communication, solve problems, and support day-to-day operations in remote and challenging environments. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and manage shifting priorities helps every project stay on track.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, project coordination, or construction management, preferably in construction or a related industry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and comfort with project coordination tools; MS Project experience is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Understanding of construction processes and documentation standards
  • Proven ability to lead multiple teams toward a common goal while effectively balancing competing priorities.
  • Post-secondary education in construction, business administration, or a related field an asset
  • IICRC certifications an asset
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Ability to travel extensively, including remote areas, and work within a rotational schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
