Title
Cardiovascular Technologist - Cardiac Catheterization
Schedule
M-F between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. One to two weeknight on-call shifts, every fourth weekend.
Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- AART registered
- Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License
- Cardiovascular Technologist registered
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.
- Prepare patient and equipment for utilization of sterile technique.
- Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.
- Provide patient comfort while familiarizing them with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure.
- Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites, including sterile drapes.
- Use sterile and aseptic technique during procedures to ensure infection prevention.
- Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers, documenting fluoroscopy time and radiation doses.
- Evaluate radiation reports to ensure compliance with established safety limits.
