Role Overview

Future Technologies is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to lead the delivery of advanced communications and digital infrastructure programs supporting U.S. Army Test and Evaluation (T&E) environments and broader government missions.

This role focuses on designing, deploying, and sustaining private 5G, wireless, and edge-enabled systems within controlled and operational test environments, enabling experimentation, prototyping, and field validation of emerging capabilities.

The Program Manager serves as the central integrator of program execution, technical delivery, and customer engagement, ensuring solutions meet Army T&E objectives, mission requirements, and operational constraints across lab, range, and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Execution

  • Lead execution of programs supporting Army test ranges, labs, and operational experimentation environments
  • Manage complex efforts involving prototype development, test integration, and transition from lab to fielded capability
  • Oversee integrated schedules aligned to test events, exercises, and evaluation milestones
  • Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition, test, and evaluation frameworks


Technical & Systems Integration (T&E Environment Focus)

  • Oversee deployment and integration of:
  • Private 5G / LTE networks in test ranges and lab environments
  • Edge computing platforms supporting real-time analytics and AI-driven testing
  • RF systems and spectrum-dependent systems within controlled test conditions
  • Support end-to-end test lifecycle, including:
  • Environment setup and control variables
  • Test execution support
  • Data collection, analysis, and performance validation
  • Ensure systems are optimized for repeatability, reliability, and measurable outcomes in test scenarios


Army Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as primary interface with U.S. Army program offices, T&E commands, and technical stakeholders
  • Support coordination with:
  • Test ranges (e.g., developmental and operational test sites)
  • Lab environments and integration facilities
  • Operational units participating in exercises
  • Lead test readiness reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and after-action reporting


Vendor & Test Ecosystem Coordination

  • Manage OEMs, integrators, and subcontractors supporting test instrumentation, communications, and network infrastructure
  • Coordinate delivery and integration of test assets, equipment, and software baselines
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with test schedules, data requirements, and evaluation criteria


Digital Transformation & Test Data Enablement

  • Drive implementation of data-driven test environments, including:
  • Real-time network performance analytics
  • AI-enabled insights for system evaluation
  • Support integration with Army data platforms and test data repositories
  • Enable feedback loops from test results into system improvements and future deployments

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Army or DoD Test & Evaluation environments
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Test lifecycle management (lab โ†’ field โ†’ operational validation)
  • RF and wireless systems in controlled and contested environments
  • Test event planning, execution, and reporting
  • Experience working in:
  • Test ranges, experimentation environments, or lab-based system validation environments
  • Proven ability to manage programs involving prototype systems and emerging technologies transition

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with:
  • Army Futures Command, DEVCOM, ATEC, or PEO-managed programs
  • Networked systems supporting live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) environments
  • Private 5G in training, testing, or range instrumentation environments
  • Experience supporting:
  • Technology experimentation campaigns and capability demonstrations
  • Rapid prototyping and fielding initiatives

This role is uniquely focused on enabling the Armyโ€™s modernization and experimentation mission, supporting the evaluation of next-generation capabilities such as:

  • AI-enabled operational systems
  • Autonomous and robotic platforms
  • Advanced communications and resilient networks
  • Multi-domain operations technologies

Success in this role requires the ability to bridge engineering execution with real-world test environments, ensuring technologies are not only builtโ€”but proven, validated, and mission-ready.


Work Environment & Travel

  • Huntsville Alabama resident or residence within 100 miles to Huntsville AL.

  • Travel up to 30โ€“40% for customer engagements, deployments, and program oversight

  • Periodic presence required at:

    o Customer sites (e.g., Huntsville, AL; DC Metro Area)

    o Corporate HQ (Suwanee, GA)

    o Field and test environments
