General Purpose

The Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics is seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven professional to lead LANG GoodWorks, a flagship initiative connecting business students with nonprofits, charities, co-operatives, social enterprises, and purpose-driven organizations across Canada. Built around LANG's mission of Business as a Force for Good, GoodWorks creates meaningful, paid experiential learning opportunities while strengthening the organizations working to solve society's most pressing challenges.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Strategic Partnerships and Societal Impact, the Manager will lead the development and growth of LANG GoodWorks by building partnerships, creating student opportunities, and positioning GoodWorks as Canada's leading business school platform for community-engaged learning and societal impact.

Duties Responsibilities

  • Build and steward partnerships with nonprofit organizations, charities, co-operatives, social enterprises, municipalities, and community leaders.
  • Develop and coordinate paid student internships, consulting projects, applied research opportunities, competitions, and other experiential learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate community-engaged learning into academic programs.
  • Lead outreach, communications, events, and storytelling that showcase GoodWorks' impact.
  • Track program outcomes and develop reports demonstrating student, partner, and community impact.
  • Support strategic initiatives, donor engagement, sponsorship development, and external funding opportunities that strengthen and expand GoodWorks.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Masters Degree Preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in business, nonprofit management, public administration, community development, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years demonstrated experience developing partnerships across the nonprofit, community, public, or social impact sectors.
  • Experience managing students, programs, projects, events, or experiential learning initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for experiential education, community impact, and preparing the next generation of purpose-driven business leaders.
