Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist/Manager
Department: Marketing 
Reports to: VP of Marketing
Description: Mailprotector is seeking a creative, high-energy team member to join the Marketing team to manage our storytelling and content creation efforts. This position will dive into complex technology-based topics with internal and external partners to identify the most meaningful insights and stories to fuel our content engine. Their ultimate goal will be to build and execute a content calendar that is full of credible and engaging pieces for our various audiences. If you are equal parts storyteller, researcher, editor and strategist who loves to roll up your sleeves and help unique content pieces come to life, this is the job for you.
 
Key Responsibilities & Outputs
  • Develop interesting, research-driven B2B content (whitepapers, blogs, videos, webinars, social media posts, etc.) that will drive traffic to engage and convert target prospects; content includes, but is not limited to, thought leadership pieces, client and user testimonials, social media posts, webinars, video content, and copy needed for various digital marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the company's strategic storyteller with the ability to capture Mailprotector’s brand voice and communicate our unique technology differentiators to the market.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop a content strategy and build a content calendar that supports the needs of the Marketing, Business Development, Partner/Client Success, and Executive Teams and aligns with the company’s overarching lead generation and growth goals.
  • Own the posting schedule for Mailprotector’s social media, collaborating with the Marketing Director, Design & Demand Generation (our graphic design lead) to ensure you have channel appropriate creative. Own responding as the company on various social channels.
  • Engage with and develop meaningful relationships with Mailprotector MSP Partners to develop stories with them and help drive future co-marketing or sell-through content.
  • Act as an on-camera personality for Mailprotector content, specifically for vertical short form videos but also potentially other video categories as you learn the product and build relationships
  • Drive net new leads, marketing qualified leads, and new partner acquisition by creating engaging content the piques the interest of the Managed Services / IT Services market.
  • Monitor content performance once live and make data-informed analyses with proactive recommendations.  
  • Stay up to date with industry happenings as well as content trends in marketing to generate new ideas to draw the attention of our desired audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Events Manager or other Mailprotector team members to execute on-site trade show content or to direct/support content from afar
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director, Design & Demand Generation to ensure brand standards are followed and the ultimate content vision is executed, as well as to ensure timely production of content pieces for various marketing campaign needs. 
  • Support the VP of Marketing in specialty content contract negotiations as they arise and manage these contracts’ associated deliverables.
     

Requirements 
  • 2+ years of direct content creation experience required, with preference given to copywriters, videographers, or social media managers – a marketing/content portfolio will be required
  • 1+ years of direct social media management – LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram preferred
  • Willingness to be on camera or photographed as a representative of the company
  • Must be willing to travel at least 20% of the time to relevant industry events or headquarters
  • Strong writing and communication skills — you can simplify complex technologies or stories for any audience
  • Adaptable with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority across marketing, sales, product, and partner/client teams
  • Ability to organize and project manage content creation from start to finish
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a unique point of view
  • This job is eligible for remote consideration in GA, TX, TN, KY, FL, NC, SC. Any SC candidates in the greater Greenville, SC area will have hybrid expectation.
Nice to Have 
  • Experience working in cybersecurity, SaaS, Managed IT Services, or other tech company
  • Experience with common content creation platforms – Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, Descript, Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with common social media community-based platforms, such as Discord or Reddit
  • General knowledge of marketing and sales platforms – HubSpot preferred

Education  
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
