As a part of our Zeta Summer Internship Program, you will gain invaluable insight into schooling by supporting our schools and staff in preparation for the launch of the 2026-27 school year.

About the Internship

Zeta Summer Interns will have a strong work ethic, be extremely dependable, and be able to manage multiple tasks at once in a strategic, organized way. Responsibilities

As a Summer Intern, you will work side-by-side with our Professional Learning team to organize and prepare Zeta for the 2026-27 school year. Help power unforgettable experiences at Zeta by:

  • Supporting the planning and execution of Summer Zeta University (SZU), our annual summer training program for all Zeta staff or Z Combinator, Zeta's charter school founder fellowship program
    • Preparing and resetting workshop and event spaces, ensuring rooms are fully equipped for programming (tables, chairs, materials, catering setup, and other logistics)
    • Coordinating catering logistics for program days, including ordering, delivery coordination, and on-site setup
    • Managing program materials and supplies, including inventory tracking for swag, materials, and decor
    • Supporting travel coordination for fellows visiting from outside of New York City, including flight booking and itinerary organization
    • Preparing program materials by proofreading, formatting, and printing resources for participants and facilitators
    • Assisting with schedule coordination across multiple programs and helping ensure sessions run on time
    • Tracking program expenses and supporting reconciliation processes to ensure accurate financial documentation
    • Participating in daily team stand-ups to align on priorities, troubleshoot issues, and prepare for upcoming programming
    • Providing a high-quality, service-oriented experience for fellows, facilitators, and participants by anticipating needs and helping resolve logistical challenges in real time
  • Supporting additional operational and program needs as they arise to ensure a seamless experience for all participants

You will build skills in program management, professional learning design, and operational execution, all within a mission-driven environment focused on strengthening and scaling excellent schools.

  • Strategic Event Planning
  • Project Management & Operations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Systems Thinking
  • Executive-Level Exposure

Qualifications

  • Students pursuing Education, Psychology, or Sociology are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in hospitality, operations, or event management, particularly in fast-paced environments, is preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving mentality and attention to detail
  • Desire to work tirelessly and collaboratively in order to ensure our schools are 100% ready for staff and students heading into the 2026-27 school year

Logistics and Compensation

  • This internship follows a hybrid schedule. On in-person days, you will report to Zeta Inwood, located at 401 West 218th St, New York, NY 10034. The internship duration is 7 weeks long, from June 22nd, 2026 through August 7th, 2026.
