Basic Purpose: The Talent Management Intern will support Love's Talent Management team through research, benchmarking, analysis, project coordination, and preparation of materials that advance team member development and talent-focused initiatives. This role will help evaluate current processes, gather insights from stakeholders, identify themes and opportunities, and develop practical recommendations that support Talent Management priorities across the enterprise.
Job Functions:
  • Support Talent Management projects by researching, organizing, and summarizing information from internal and external sources.
  • Assist with discovery and analysis related to onboarding, early learning experiences, career development, development planning, learning processes, and other talent initiatives.
  • Help document current-state processes, learning touchpoints, stakeholder handoffs, and potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze feedback, data, interview notes, or other inputs to identify themes, gaps, trends, and recommended next steps.
  • Prepare clear project documentation, summaries, presentations, and communication materials for Talent Management leaders and stakeholders.
  • Partner with Talent Management team members and subject matter experts through interviews, meetings, shadowing, and experience walkthroughs.
  • Maintain discretion with confidential or sensitive team member, business, and project-related information.
  • Assist with special projects, events, and intern program activities as needed.
  • Could require occasional travel to nearby Love's locations or company events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year university program, sophomore level or above, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Communications, Education, Learning and Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Past internship, project, research, campus leadership, or work experience is a plus but not required.

Skills and Physical Demands:
  • Strong written and verbal communication, listening, and critical thinking skills.
  • Extremely well organized with attention to detail and ability to follow up on tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, ask thoughtful questions, and translate information into clear summaries or recommendations.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
