This is a revenue-driving position with strong earning potential tied directly to event sales performance. The Events Director will receive a competitive base salary plus commission on booked business.

Cucina Alba is a downtown New York Italian restaurant rooted in style, warmth, and hospitality at the highest level. The restaurant blends refined Italian cooking with the energy of New York nightlife and culture, creating a space that feels both elevated and deeply personal. From intimate dinners to large-scale celebrations, every experience is driven by exceptional service, attention to detail, and an understanding of how people want to gather today.

We are seeking an Events Director to lead and grow our private dining and events business across Cucina Alba and affiliated concepts. This role is equal parts sales, hospitality, operations, and relationship management. The ideal candidate is deeply organized, highly personable, commercially minded, and understands luxury hospitality from both the guest and operational perspective.

Position Summary

The Events Director will oversee all private dining, full restaurant buyouts, brand activations, social events, and corporate events from inquiry through execution. This person will act as the primary liaison between guests, clients, vendors, and the restaurant team to ensure every event is executed seamlessly and at the highest standard.

This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands New York hospitality culture, and can build long-term relationships with clients, agencies, concierges, brands, and tastemakers.

Responsibilities
  • Drive private dining and events revenue across the restaurant
  • Manage inbound event inquiries and actively pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop relationships with corporate clients, talent agencies, PR firms, luxury brands, hotels, concierges, and high-net-worth clientele
  • Conduct site tours and create customized event proposals
  • Build BEOs, floorplans, timelines, and event recaps
  • Coordinate all event logistics with culinary, beverage, operations, and management teams
  • Oversee event execution onsite to ensure service standards are maintained
  • Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and CRM/event tracking systems
  • Work closely with ownership and leadership on strategic growth initiatives
  • Collaborate on seasonal offerings, special programming, and marketing opportunities
  • Ensure all events reflect the aesthetic, hospitality standards, and identity of the brand
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in hospitality events, private dining, luxury hotels, nightlife, or high-end restaurants
  • Strong existing network within New York hospitality, entertainment, fashion, media, or corporate sectors preferred
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Experience using Tripleseat or similar event management software preferred
  • Understanding of fine dining service standards and restaurant operations
  • Professional, polished, and hospitality-driven demeanor
  • Nights and weekends required based on event schedule
