About the Role
Talarico for Texas is hiring a Volunteer & Events Associate to join James Talarico's US Senate campaign. We are seeking an Associate to anchor our public events program, ensuring smooth logistics, energized volunteers, and engaging experiences for supporters. The Associate will also assist with Organizing Team functions and general volunteer management.
Responsibilities
  • Inbox Management: Oversee and manage the maintenance of general inboxes; ensure questions are answered, monitor for potential issues, and route incoming to the correct teams
  • Volunteer Management: Support with the training, and management of volunteers; ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Event Leadership: Serve as a support contact for volunteers, keeping the program on schedule and solving problems quickly
  • Training: Deliver volunteer training to ensure consistency and professionalism
  • Quality Control: Ensure events project the campaign's values and message, and that every attendee has a positive experience that encourages future involvement
  • Organizing Program Support: Assist the organizing team with voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and engagement efforts

Requirements
  • Experience managing volunteers, events, or grassroots programs on campaigns, in community organizations, or in other high-energy settings
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure and quick on their feet
  • Willingness to pitch in on logistics, from setup to teardown, with a "no task too small" mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with volunteers, staff, and community members
