Amidst this growth, management remains mission-centric, focused on helping amateur players and teams and revolutionizing the youth sports ecosystem.
Position Overview:As an Event Staff Lead, you will oversee on-site staff operations during weekend youth basketball tournaments, ensuring events run smoothly. You'll manage a team of stat keepers and scorekeepers, including attendance, breaks, performance, and scheduling, while maintaining professionalism across all courts.
You'll serve as the main point of contact for on-court issues, support staff and coaches, and help ensure accurate stat entry and efficient game flow. This role is ideal for someone organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify all assigned staff are present, punctual, and clocking in/out correctly in OGP's timekeeping system.
  • Coordinate tournament logistics, including court assignments, equipment setup, and signage.
  • Oversee stat keepers and ensure accurate stat entry in the Passport platform.
  • Troubleshoot common issues and escalate unresolved problems.
  • Monitor break compliance and manage shifts to reduce overtime.
  • Assist with scheduling updates and ensure changes are reflected in staffing documents.
  • Model professionalism and address conduct that does not meet OGP standards.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff questions or on-site issues.
  • Escalate urgent matters to Tournament Managers.
  • Collect feedback from staff and participants to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.
