At CESO, a Software Engineer plays a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and support innovation across the organization. This position focuses heavily on internal automation, system integrations, and AI-enabled solutions, while also contributing to enterprise applications and AEC-related tools. A Software Engineer collaborates closely with IT, data, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support both production and corporate initiatives within a growing AEC environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain software applications and automation systems that improve workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to develop scalable, secure, and well-documented solutions.
  • Develop integrations with APIs, databases, and third-party platforms to extend system functionality.
  • Participate in the design and integration of data pipelines, analytics tools, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to project planning, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications.
  • Ensure compliance with company coding standards and data security practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through scripting, APIs, and system orchestration.
  • Support enterprise application lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Support data flow and interoperability between core business systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering, or equivalent experienceย  is required.ย 
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in software or automation development in an enterprise or AEC environment is required.
  • Proven experience developing Autodesk plugins is preferred.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, REST APIs, or SQL.
  • Experience with AI or cloud-based workflows using Azure AI, AWS AI Services, or equivalent technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud data storage environments such as Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3, or data lakes is advantageous.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Dynamo is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft, GitHub, AutoDesk, or similar platforms are preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have relevant software application certifications and/or advanced training.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages, operating systems and technologies.
  • Ability to implement complex system design activities.
  • Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
