Grand Hyatt DFW, the only luxury hotel located inside Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Event Sales Manager to join our award-winning Events team.
With recently renovated and exceptional meeting and event venues, luxury accommodations, and world-class service, Grand Hyatt DFW hosts everything from executive meetings and corporate conferences to elegant social events. As our Event Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences while building lasting client relationships.

About the Role
The Event Sales Manager is a quota-carrying sales position responsible for generating and managing catering and event business by selling banquet food and beverage services, meeting room rentals, and event packages. This role is accountable for achieving assigned revenue goals through proactive business development, client relationship management, and strategic selling.
As the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process-from initial inquiry through successful event execution and post-event follow-up-you'll combine consultative selling with exceptional service to deliver memorable experiences while driving hotel revenue.
Success in this role requires a passion for hospitality, strong sales acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships while coordinating multiple events in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve assigned monthly and annual catering revenue goals through proactive selling and business development activities.
  • Develop new catering and event business while cultivating repeat and referral business.
  • Sell banquet food and beverage services, meeting space, and event packages to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Consult with clients to design customized event experiences that meet their objectives and exceed expectations.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure all event details are accurately documented.
  • Coordinate menus, room setups, timelines, audiovisual needs, and other event logistics.
  • Conduct hotel site tours and showcase the property's meeting and event capabilities.
  • Lead client communications before, during, and after events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Culinary, Banquets, Convention Services, and other hotel departments to deliver exceptional service.
  • Participate in event meetings, sales strategy discussions, and other hotel leadership meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasting within Hyatt sales systems while managing multiple accounts and events simultaneously.
