Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Less than 3 years of proven business development experience  
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the healthcare sector, including physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, medical practices, assisted living facilities, long-term care organizations, and other healthcare providers.

  • Conduct proactive outreach through calls, emails, networking, referrals, industry events, and digital platforms to identify and engage prospective clients.

  • Research healthcare organizations, decision-makers, market trends, and competitive opportunities to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

  • Schedule introductory meetings and discovery conversations for Producers and healthcare specialty advisors.

  • Collaborate with Producers, Account Executives, and Risk Advisors to develop customized medical malpractice and healthcare risk management solutions for prospective clients.

  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare administrators, physicians, practice managers, executive leadership teams, and industry partners.

  • Follow developments in the healthcare and insurance industries, including medical professional liability trends, regulatory changes, emerging risks, and carrier market conditions.

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance and risk management services, including property & casualty, cyber liability, management liability, and employee benefits solutions.

  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights gathered through interactions with clients, prospects, referral partners, carrier representatives, and industry contacts.

  • Accurately maintain prospect activity, pipeline progression, and sales opportunities within the firm's CRM system.

  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns, client events, educational seminars, and healthcare-focused business development initiatives.

  • Participate in industry associations, networking organizations, and conferences to enhance market visibility and generate qualified leads.

  • Assist in the development and execution of territory and target account strategies designed to achieve new business growth objectives.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.

  • 1-3+ years of business development, sales, healthcare marketing, insurance, or client-facing experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare, risk management, medical malpractice insurance, or professional liability insurance.

  • Strong prospecting, networking, lead generation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare executives and providers.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM platforms preferred.

  • Self-motivated with a consultative sales approach and a strong desire to build a career in healthcare insurance and risk management.

  • Licenses & Professional Designations Preferred

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
