Primary Duties & Responsibilities

·       Manage construction projects from pre-construction planning through project closeout.

·       Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost reports.

·       Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities throughout each phase of the project.

·       Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts, purchase orders, and subcontracts.

·       Monitor project budgets, change orders, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure financial objectives are achieved.

·       Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.

·       Lead project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and communicate project updates to clients and stakeholders.

·       Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction documents to identify potential issues and coordinate timely resolutions.

·       Manage project risks and proactively resolve construction challenges to minimize schedule and budget impacts.

·       Coordinate project permitting, inspections, occupancy requirements, and closeout documentation.

·       Work closely with the Estimating team during project handover and support pre-construction activities when required.

·       Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.

·       Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

·       Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing growth of the organization.

Required Competencies & Experience

·       3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.

·       Postsecondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field an asset.

·       Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and applicable building codes.

·       Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

·       Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.

·       Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

·       Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

·       Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently while managing competing priorities.

·       PMP designation, Gold Seal Certification, or progress toward either designation is considered an asset.

·       Valid G driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the GTA.

Working Conditions

·       Combination of office-based work and regular visits to construction sites.

·       Frequent communication and coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
