Job description

We're looking for well-spoken, responsible energetic Retail and Event Marketing Promoter to share Renewal by Andersen products and services to homeowners that are visiting and attending events throughout the Des Moines area. This job is best suited for an individual who enjoys working with the public, being physically active throughout their day, is confident communicating, has flexibility in their schedule, and is willing to learn new things on an ongoing basis. Hourly pay is $18/hr but our average representatives earn $25-$30 per hour.
 
We are looking for staff to work events throughout the year. We offer a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Not your typical 9-5 job. Hours vary with potential to work 16-30 hours weekly.

The Position:
  • The principle duties and responsibilities of the Retail Marketing & Events Associate, but are not limited to, the following:
  •  Identify event opportunities that include but not limited to- Farmers Markets, Expos, Town Festivals, Wedding Expos, 5K’s, Non-Profit Events, Open House Events, etc.
  • Research potential retail locations to execute our retail marketing plan
  • Learn how to negotiate with retail store owners to procure space and obtain the best value for our investment
  • Keep track of expenses & actual lead results to ensure cost of marketing is successful to help with future forecasting 
  • Work closely with Marketing Director to provide on the job coaching, mentoring and motivating to ensure that events team is on track with daily goals
  • Participate in event staff meetings to help train while motivating them to hit lead goals
  • Collect recaps from events and organize into excel sheets for future planning
  • Oversee scheduling the event team to event or retail shifts
  • Availability to work events or retail as needed
  • Provide the necessary planning, organization, direction and control to meet the sales and profit goals of the company
  • Have weekly meetings with the Marketing Director with topics including team performance, upcoming events/retail and weekly objectives
  • Help organize and be available to work the Spring & Fall Open House (if in season)
  • Find neighborhoods for hosting an RSVP Event – plan and execute all things necessary to put these monthly events on  
  • Maintain showroom environment, retail and event equipment, including stocking and preparing marketing literature, supplies and displays
  • Capture and share best practices with other Renewal by Andersen affiliates
Qualifications:
  • Respectful and outstanding leadership skills
  • Strong work ethic and the willingness to explore and propose new ideas
  • Drive and passion are a must!
  • Basic PC skills utilizing office software packages including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage budgets and event evaluations
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
