Ameresco's Smart Building Solutions is looking for an Operations Manager to work out of our office in Bradenton, Florida. This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, operational efficiency, and strategic growth within the smart building and DDC controls sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation, project management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for business growth and process improvement.
  • Ensure successful deployment of smart building solutions, including IoT, analytics, and energy management systems.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners to drive customer satisfaction and business development.
  • Monitor financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technologies in the smart building sector.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff, supporting professional development and team success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years in building automation, smart building solutions, or DDC controls, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred, equivalent experience will also be considered.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of building automation systems, IoT applications, and energy management solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or industry-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within Florida as needed.
