Job description

Event Worker

PRN | (Flexible - As needed)

Pay: $10.50 - $12.30/hr (Based on experience)

This position primarily serves as a bartender while also providing support as a Bistro Server or Catering Attendant as needed.

**Additional earnings from tips are provided and vary by event**


The Event Worker supports our mission and values by assisting in the successful operation of venue and catered events.

The Event Worker's primary responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate clearly, quickly and politely with customers and co-workers to ensure correct order is served to the customers.
  • Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes.
  • Be pleasant and alert to customer needs.
  • Greet guests as they enter Bistro or Pub.
  • Process customer transactions and maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
  • Keep entire work area clean and sanitary according to the local health department standards.
  • Operate and maintain drink related equipment properly and safely.
  • Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of work area.
  • Stock and execute proper rotation of products.
  • Assist with end of day cleaning.
  • Work as a "team" member to assure constant and consistent quality, service, cleanliness and value to each customer.
  • Wash counters, tables, trash receptacles, gather trash and remove from the pub areas to proper receptacle, sweep, mop, stock and other cleaning tasks.

What is required as an Event Worker?

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Two years experience bartending
  • Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service skills including strong verbal communication skills, exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
  • Have working knowledge of legal requirements for serving alcohol.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a Point of Sale system.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
