Job description

We are looking for a Database Technology Manager to oversee donor data operations and strengthen the reliability of fundraising information in Fairlee, Vermont. This contract position with potential for permanency will play a central role in maintaining the Raiser’s Edge environment, supporting gift administration, reporting, and constituent record accuracy. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of database management, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to partner effectively with fundraising and administrative teams.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Raiser’s Edge database, keeping records accurate, secure, and well organized.
• Run data imports, exports, queries, and reporting processes to support fundraising decisions and operational needs.
• Manage the recording and acknowledgment of donations, pledges, matching contributions, and online gifts with a high degree of accuracy.
• Compare fundraising activity against financial documentation and assist with reconciliation efforts and audit preparation.
• Produce clear and timely reports related to donors, campaigns, events, and revenue performance.
• Maintain and update constituent information received from external platforms and connected systems.
• Support internal users by resolving database issues, answering questions, and providing guidance on best practices.
• Uphold data privacy standards and enforce sound governance procedures to protect sensitive donor information.• At least 5 years of experience in database administration, including 3 or more years working with Raiser’s Edge.
• Strong hands-on ability with database queries, data imports, exports, validation, and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with online fundraising tools and integrating data from multiple systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage several priorities at once while maintaining precision and follow-through.
• Background supporting fundraising, development, donor relations, or nonprofit advancement functions is preferred.
