Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Event Coordinator to join the Global Integrated Services (GIS) - Hospitality team at Cummins Inc. in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Plan and deliver events while serving as a key liaison between Cummins hosts, internal teams, and vendors to ensure a seamless hospitality experience.

  • Manage Hospitality event spaces, schedules, and on-site event operations, including setup, service coordination, teardown, and adherence to safety, security, and service standards.

  • Maintain high standards of safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and compliance across hospitality spaces. 

  • Provide administrative and analytical support through data management, reporting, research, correspondence, meeting coordination, and response to stakeholder inquiries.

  • Support departmental effectiveness by managing vendor and payment processes, maintaining policies and procedures, tracking key data, driving continuous improvement, and serving as a resource for team members.

Additional Information

This hourly, customer-facing role is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and delivery of events within Hospitality's scope. The role serves as a key point of contact for assigned events and event hosts, manages Hospitality-owned event spaces and calendars at the Cummins Indy Office, and partners closely with Cummins employees, Global Integrated Services teams, and vendors. While this role sits within the Facilities function, it operates as part of GIS - Hospitality

As business needs arise, this role may also support Cummins-sponsored events held off-site from Cummins-owned or managed properties

  • Event Planning & Coordination Knowledge - Experience supporting meetings, events, hospitality, catering, or a related operational environment, including logistics, timelines, and vendor coordination.

  • Strong Communication & Customer Focus - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences, including customers, leaders, internal stakeholders, and service partners.

  • Organizational & Priority Management Skills - Ability to manage competing priorities and frequent task switching in a fast-paced, event-driven environment while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and follow-through.

  • The capability to maintain strong standards by applying thoughtful process enhancements, following safety and service guidelines, and effectively utilizing all available resources to keep operations running smoothly.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Minimum two years' experience and/or training in the hospitality or food service industry.
