Description:Position Summary
Part-time Position

As an Event Manager at Harrington Farm, you are the conductor of the wedding day. You will act as one of the primary point of contact for couples on their wedding day, managing everything from the day of set up, to the final breakdown. This role requires a unique blend of warm hospitality, logisitical precision, and the ability to lead a dedicated front-of-house banquet team to maintain our five-star standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Direct, motivate, and manage the shift's front-of-house service team and banquet servers. Ensure that food and beverage service meets our strict standards of promptness, and hospitality.
  • Vendor Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for external vendors (florists, DJs/bands, photographers, and coordinators), ensuring everyone is aligned on the timeline, room layouts, and setup requirements.
  • Operational Execution: Oversee the precise physical setup and breakdown of event spaces according to client specifications—including table arrangements, linens, fruitwood Chiavari chairs, and decor placement.
  • Problem Solving & Flow Management: Proactively anticipate logistical bottlenecks, weather changes, or timeline shifts. Maintain a calm, reassuring, and solution-oriented presence under pressure to resolve any day-of challenges seamlessly.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our sales specialists, and the in-house culinary team to review event orders, dietary restrictions.
Requirements:Qualifications
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in event management, banquet coordination, or high-volume hospitality operations (wedding venue experience highly preferred).
  • Leadership Style: A collaborative, encouraging leader who can direct a service staff with clarity and respect, keeping morale high during fast-paced shifts.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to communicate warmly and professionally with stressed couples, families, and vendors alike.
  • Organization: A keen eye for visual detail, spatial arrangement, and strict timeline adherence.
  • Flexibility: Absolute availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, particularly during our peak season (May through October).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk across our indoor/outdoor property for extended periods, and comfortably lift up to 30 lbs.
