Job Overview

THE TEAM is seeking an Experiential Operations Manager to plan, manage, and execute live events, brand activations, and fan engagement experiences across sports and entertainment properties. The manager will oversee tours, event series, and engagement strategies, manage budgets, logistics, and operations, and support other experiential programs during the off‑season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre‑Event Planning: serve as liaison between clients, vendors, and internal departments; develop and manage budgets; lead team communications; create timelines; conduct venue and vendor research; develop presentations and proposals; collaborate with creative teams; partner with internal departments; prepare activation materials; oversee inventory and asset management; attend site visits and evaluations.
  • On‑Site Event Management: act as primary point of contact for clients; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; manage and direct on‑site staff, volunteers, and vendors; oversee event setup, execution, and teardown; implement logistics plans; coordinate team travel; address and resolve on‑site challenges; perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in event production, event management, experiential marketing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with sports, entertainment, and live event environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across teams, clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Active listening, critical thinking, and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience leading or coordinating teams.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing budgets is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 65%, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments, challenges, and team dynamics.
  • Comfortable using power tools and operating forklifts (training provided).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, freelance, campus, or hands‑on event experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of audiences, communities, or consumer groups.
